Calorimetric flow switches for water-based liquids monitor the flow and the temperature with a heated probe and switch outputs at adjustable limits. The probe has no moving parts; a display at the measuring point shows the measured value. Typical tasks are dry-running protection for pumps, the monitoring of coolant circuits and the monitoring of filter units. Output 1 switches at a set flow, output 2 at a set flow or temperature; each output can be set to PNP or NPN to match the input of the control system. Versions with IO-Link also send all values to the control system.

The probe screws into a G 1/4" or G 1/2" socket and runs on 15 to 35 V DC. The switches are rated to 40 bar (≈580 psi) and +85 °C (≈185 °F) and are set up for water-based liquids.
