Metal variable area flow meters with switch contact up to 350 bar show the oil flow in l/min on a scale and close a contact when the flow reaches an adjustable switch point. One device gives the reading on site and the signal to the control system. One scale is valid for oils from 30 to 600 cSt (centistokes). Exceptions: the smallest range, 0.1 to 0.8 l/min, goes up to 400 cSt, and the 350 bar model up to 540 cSt.

The contact needs no supply voltage and switches up to 100 VA. The bodies are brass up to 250 bar (≈3630 psi) or stainless steel up to 300 bar (≈4350 psi); one stainless steel model reaches 350 bar (≈5080 psi).
